Susanna has been a Chartered Architect since 1995. In the early 1990s she was part of various teams working on design of both residential and commercial projects. She also assisted in investigating building defects. In the late 1990s she was involved, at a senior level, on multi-million pound refurbishments and new build projects, having a significant input to the design and specification of the works.

She was Joint Project Architect on a substantial repair, refurbishment and extension of a prominent Grade I listed church in London with a project value of £40M. She has also been Project Architect on a large new build office in the City of London that was short listed for the RIBA Sterling Prize.

In 2003 she joined her father’s Practice, Miller Architects, on a part time basis to assist him with specialist conservation and restoration projects, notably on listed buildings projects. The other part of the working week was spent in Planning and City Development department of a prominent inner London Borough.

Susanna, following the sudden death of her father in 2011, now heads the Practice.
